My favorite city
A saying goes, Heaven above, Suzhou and Hangzhou below. I’m lucky to have the opportunity to live in Suzhou for three years, and until I left there , fell in love with the city.
Though, Suzhou is neither one of the first-tier cities, nor the provincial capital of Jiangsu, it has its attractive characteristics. First, Suzhou has a good urban planning. In the center of the city, it’s the old town, there is no new buildings and full of classical beauty. Around the old town, there are four new districts. They are on behalf of the modernization of the city. For example, Suzhou Industrial Park has the broad roads with great landscaping. You can enjoy the beautiful view while visiting the Suzhou Industrial Park and don’t need to suffer from the traffic jam. Second, Suzhou’s government is quite efficient. The service hall is clean and quiet. People queue up for a business in an orderly manner. The government staffs are amiable and proficient. If your affair is not very complex, it will be done in a few minutes. Third, Suzhou has a developed public transport system. Till now, Suzhou has two subway lines and hundreds bus lines. Almost in each bus station, there is an electronic board to show bus timetable. With the board, passengers can know how long they need to wait for the next bus. I think it’s quite convenient.
If I could get another chance, I will choose to come back to Suzhou, for the livable environment and comfortable life.
