英语专业毕业论文撰写规范
本科毕业论文（设计）（以下简称为毕业论文）由封面、成绩评定表、中文内容摘要（含关键词）、英文内容摘要（含关键词）、目录、正文、参考文献、附录、致谢等九部分组成。毕业论文装订按以上顺序进行，每位学生定稿论文，按统一要求装订1份。
毕业论文的文字图形一律从左至右横写横排，文字一律通栏编辑，字迹必须清楚。英文单词必须拼写正确，可采用英式或美式拼写，但两者不能混用。中文内容忌用异体字、复合字及一切不规范的简化字。除非必要，不要使用繁体字。
毕业论文英文内容统一采用Times New Roman字体，英文标点必须采用英文格式，具体每部分格式设置参照附件要求。
毕业论文电子版保存类型为Word2003版文件。
毕业论文采用国际标准A4型（210mm 297mm）打印纸或复印纸印制。
毕业论文要求纵向打印，页边距的要求为：
上（T）：2.54cm；下（B）：2.54cm；左（L）：3cm；右（R）：2.2cm。
毕业论文封面必须注明：题目（用英文书写的论文题目）、系别班级、专业方向、学号、学生姓名、指导老师、提交日期（年月）。
装订及打印要求统一按照学校规定，具体另行通知。
从正文（第一章）开始至附录结束需要设置页眉，页眉左侧内容为：广东财经大学华商学院，字体采用黑体小五号；右侧内容为：题目（用英文书写的论文题目），字体采用Times New Roman小五号加粗。
页脚需要设置页码。从“中文内容摘要”、“英文内容摘要”到“目录”分别用小写罗马数字（i,ii,iii）标注，字体采用Times New Roman，五号加粗居中。正文页码（含参考文献和附录）用阿拉伯数字标注，字体采用Times New Roman，五号加粗居中。
内容摘要格式参照附件。
目录（Contents）格式要求参照附件。

十一、附录
附录在这里是指附在正文后面与正文有关的参考资料，包括调查问卷表、小组访谈的提纲、实验数据等资料。附录（Appendix）要求参照附件。
十二、致谢
致谢主要是简述毕业论文（设计）作者完成本论文（设计）的体会，并对指导教师以及协助完成论文（设计）的有关人员表示谢意。致谢（Acknowledgement）格式要求参照附件。
注意：正文如有注释，统一采用页下注。

With the development of globalization, communication of politics, economy and culture between nations is becoming more and more frequent. English, as the world’s most widely used language, plays an important role in today’s society. The joining of the World Trade Organization in 2001 marks China’s opening up into a new stage. Thus, there is a necessity for Chinese to master English and use it as a communicative tool. However, due to Chinese traditional English teaching approach, students get high score in exams, but the competence of using English is far from satisfaction, especially in oral communication. It is high time that China improved English teaching approach and turned this situation around.
2. Literature Review

In this chapter, main English teaching approaches in China and western countries are introduced. Also, definitions and characteristics of the two teaching approaches are given in order to make a comparison of them. After these, culture differences between China and western countries are listed.

In terms of the Grammar-Translation Approach, Liu and Xiao (2007) give a definition as follows. The Grammar-Translation Approach, which is also called the “traditional approach”, the “old approach”, or the “classical method”, is the byproduct of the historical comparative study of language. Language was seen as an instrument for appreciation of classical literature. This approach was historically used in teaching Greek and Latin which are known as “dead languages” for the purpose of gaining access to classical literature. The approach was gradually extended to teaching modern languages. On the whole, the approach characterizes highly structured class work with the teacher controlling all activities.
